Small Diameter Seamless Tubing

Most seamless tubing suppliers quote lead times in months when a job calls for a small diameter seamless tubing size outside their standard stock. That delay can stall a build, a certification test, or a customer's own delivery date. Vita Needle solves that bottleneck with in-house tooling built specifically for small diameter runs, so a custom seamless tube order ships in weeks rather than months. Standard sizes ship even faster, and larger production quantities are quoted competitively as well.

Seamless tubing is made by drawing a forged, hollow bar through a series of progressively smaller dies with no welding at any stage. Skipping the weld avoids the microscopic grain changes, heat affected zone and stress point a welded seam introduces, which is why seamless stainless steel tubing is the standard choice anywhere for very high pressure applications, or those where any corrosion or intergranular attack on a welded seam would be consequential for the end product. 

Coils, straight lengths, and fully finished fabricated parts are all within Vita Needle's capabilities for seamless tubing. Most of what we produce is custom to the print, though standard commercial grade sizes are also available on our commercial tubing page. When a welded construction fits the application instead, Vita Needle also stocks millions of feet of standard and non-standard welded and drawn tubing sizes.
